A HOST of exciting new artefacts will be on display at the Watt Institution when it re-opens on Wednesday. An exciting new collection will be unveiled including paintings and models from the historic Sir Gabriel Wood s Mariners Home in Greenock which recently closed down. Within weeks of the reopening there will also an exhibition by acclaimed maritime artist James Watt. Staff are busy behind the scenes preparing to welcome visitors to the museum. Watt Institution opens after COVID-19. There will also be an almost entirely new world cultures section while the Watt Library will also reopen for the first time in more than a year.
