Demolition starts on Radcliffe Pool, Blackburn Street, Radcliffe.. COUNCIL bosses have assured Radcliffe residents a new swimming pool will be part of the regeneration plans for the town. Fears had been raised by users, including Radcliffe Swimming and Waterpolo Club (RSWC), that the proposals included plans for a new school and ‘dry leisure’ facility but not a replacement for the current pool at the Radcliffe Leisure Centre. A question relating to the lack of provision for a pool was submitted on behalf of the club and support canvassed from councillors, MPs, Swim England and Sport England. Key elements of the regeneration include a new central public hub, featuring retail, offices, civic spaces and cafes.
