EPA Announces $58 Million to Reduce Lead Exposure from Drinking Water Sources in Schools and Childcare Facilities

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced in July that $58 million in grant funding is available to protect children from lead in drinking water at schools and childcare facilities across the United States. The funds can be used for testing, compliance monitoring and lead in drinking water remediation projects. This is the first time that activities that remove sources of lead in drinking water are eligible to receive funding through the Water Infrastructure Improvements f.
