The days biggest political and news stories, with interviews and reporting from around the nation. Charge of an investigation and a guy who is the subject of an investigation that just got more profound. We have to preface everything, ari, with if the account from Michael Cohen is true, blah, blah, blah. So if the account is true, it is a tremendous change in the landscape. What it does is show us two things. One, that donald trump, from the very beginning, was in on an attempt at collusion, an attempt to conspire with a plot that was described to donald trump jr. As a secret operation by the kremlin to help trump. So if trump knows about that from the very beginning, and is in on it, i think that has a lot of legal, but even more so, political implications. Plus if hes told about this, and even if nothing came out of the meeting, remember throughout the whole campaign and up to now he keeps denying or dismissing the russian operation. Could have been a 400pound guy in a basement. The
convince other democratic senators to trust him. well, he had that reputation. and people knew they could take him at his word. you know, he didn t mix words with folks. and if you came to him with something, he would let you know where he stood, even if it wasn t news you wanted to hear at the moment. but people always left his office knowing exactly where they stood with him. and over time, that s how people came to respect him and knew that they could take him at his word, you know? as leader, there s a lot of things that you re not going to talk about, you re not going to go on the news, you re not going to put out a press release.
ukrainian president tweet this morning there are no minor inku incu incursions. i understand. what the president said again may not have been diplomatically advisable, but it does have, what, the virtue of being probably true, that the more dramatic a russian action would be the less difficult it would be to probably pull the allies together, but anything that takes place in a so-called gray area between diplomacy and an all-out invasion, you ll begin to see the alliance unraveling and above all the germans. this new government, this new coalition government, the enthusiasm for standing up to russia, shall we say, is quite limited. and so i think the president was simply reflecting that wasn t news, by the way, from vladimir putin. trust me. he knows full well that there s divisions within the nato alliance, germans in particularly. that s already been factored into his calculations.
that guy put his thumb on the scale at cnn in the most egregious fashion and this wasn t news, he really corrupted cnn and the result was this plummeting of ratings. so it is no coincidence that right at the time when new owners are coming and it is very convenient to get rid of jeff zucker. i m sure there s a million reasons you could get rid of jeff zucker. the main reason is because he did a terrible job and ran that network into the ground, i do think that your stenographer friend, the mini me of jeff zucker, it is amazing how the counselors will become the canceled. i m not sure he s going to hang on that long at cnn because he lived basically as jeff zucker s puppet. you also see with whoopi goldberg, again, this is somebody who, you are very passionate and empathetic and
be pushed into something or have to respond to everything that comes out at every moment. sean: he didn t sound angry or bitter. he just said that it was unfortunate the media rushed with the news that wasn t news. so he had a pretty good, i found a pretty objective attitude. we have about 20 seconds. he understands what s going on and he understands what s going on in the media landscape and he also understands that these guys are doing their jobs and they are probably doing their jobs to the best of their ability and that the information that they have. that doesn t mean that it s right and it doesn t mean that it s right at this moment. it may turn out right. we don t know. i don t know. all i know is that when he makes a decision, we will all be informed, and he hasn t done that yet. sean: selfishly, i love watching him play. i d like to see them come back. jim gray, good to see you, my friend. when we come back on a shocking road rage incident you have to see to believe, wow
