WCSPA premiers ‘The SpongeBob Musical’
Why, it’s SpongeBob SquarePants, of course, the Nickelodeon cartoon character.
Fans can check out the sea sponge character and his aquatic pals up close when the talented Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts, or WCSPA, students present “The SpongeBob Musical” at 7:30 p.m. June 11-12, and 2 p.m. June 13.
The show will be performed two ways: livestream video, and live on stage at the Performing Arts Center located on the campus of Sterling Heights High School, 12901 15 Mile Road.
Social distancing measures will be in place, and audience members and the performers are asked to wear masks. “The SpongeBob Musical” is a curtain call for Artistic Director Jonathan Gillespie as it’s his last show before retirement.

One recruit lost, another gained.
That was the result for Michigan State coach Mel Tucker on Wednesday, the first day of the traditional signing period for the 2021 class.
Rayshaun Benny, a four-star defensive tackle from Oak Park High School, flipped his commitment from Michigan State and signed with Michigan on Wednesday. Three hours later, Keon Coleman, a three-star wide receiver from Opelousas Catholic School in Louisiana, signed with the Spartans.
