Water and Light a focus at Littleton deliberative session February 11, 2021LITTLETON Despite a dramatic start to last Thursday s deliberative session, residents passed the proposed $10,285,000 municipal budget unchallenged. However, a warrant article about the Littleton Water and Light Department s operating budget drew extended dialogue from voters. Exactly like the last two years, a motion was made from the floor during early proceedings to approve all social service warrant articles into one vote for inclusion on the ballot. Yet unlike previous sessions, opponents were outspoken as they challenged the legality of such a move. Board Chair Carrie Gendreau explained the motion. She said, Because of COVID this year, we chose not to have those organizations go out and get the signatures.
