Iran accelerates its uranium production to war levels, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency. Iran had previously slowed its enrichment of uranium to 60% purity. Uranium with a purity of 60% is only a small technical step away from having a 90% level for military uses. The agency's director, Rafael Mariano Grossi, said in the report that Iran "in recent weeks has increased its production of highly enriched uranium, reversing the production reduction it had begun in mid-2023"
