Some 545 foreigners and about 90 wounded Palestinians in ambulances leave for Egypt through the Rafah crossing. They were allowed to enter at around 07:45 GMT, after the Egyptian authorities announced that it had been exceptionally opened. According to a Palestinian official, a total of 88 wounded, including 40 children, women and the elderly, were due to leave through Rafah for treatment in Egyptian hospitals. The administration of the Palestinian side of the crossing has published a list with their names, nationalities and passport numbers.
