the dark. our congressional correspondent kate bolduan is on capitol hill looking into the story. kate, what s going only here? this was not supposed to be like this. reporter: hey there, wolf. i m standing out front as people are passing by. behind me is this nondescript room. this is where the super committee will meet again this evening behind closed doors which has some government watchers, since this committee has such a huge job before them, some government watchers are calling this approach troubling. good morning. reporter: the so-called super committee began its work with a promise of transparency. i believe the american people deserve to have full access to committee business the way they do with every committee here in congress. there will be ample opportunities for the public to have their opinions heard. reporter: but with just seven weeks before their thanksgiving deadline, the committee has met in public only three times. the 12 members meeting more
up of mostly 20-somethings, they re angry about fat wall street paychecks, war, environment, you name it. the protests have been going on for three weeks now and now have spread to other cities. americans absolutely fed up with congress. new numbers leave no doubt that a washington post/abc news poll found just 14% of the public approves of the job that congress is doing. congress s lowest rating ever. amanda knox says right now, she just wants time with her family. knox is home in seattle today for the first time in four years. she went to italy for college studies but ended up in prison for murder. reminding me to speak in english because i m having problems with that. i m really overwhelmed right now. i was looking down from the airplane and it seemed like everything wasn t real. knox was serving a 26-year sentence for killing her roommate and appeals court overturned that murder conviction on monday. u.s. ambassador susan rice is calling it an outrage, she walke
help elect other true public servants to office. well, why now? scott conroy of role clear politics and co-author of sarah from alaska s has spoken to the palins since the decision. you ve been rushing to get on the phone with us. so what can you tell us? erin, great to be here. i spoke to some members of palin s inner circle tonight and two points, one, they say that the family was a big issue, that they, you know, couldn t get the entire family on board for a presidential run and that was a big reason that made her say no in the end. another thing is that, you know, she really was seriously considering this. i m told as of a few weeks ago she was having meetings in arizona with some staff to talk it over. some of the political consultants that she brought in really, i think, brought home what a time commitment it would be, how much stress it would put on her and her family and in the end decided against it. there is something she considered for a long time. interesting

clear they oppose everything from bank foreclosures and job shortages to corporate influence and greed. now several labor unions are endorsing the occupy wall street movement and plan to join protesters today. we go live to wall street. susan, what s the latest on the unions getting involved? have you seen any union members there? reporter: yes, some of them are showing up here randi at this public park. this park population has been steadily growing as the morning goes on. and they expect upwards of they re saying tens of thousands of people. of course, they have made many predictions in the past about how quickly and how many people will show up at various marches. this one they insist will be different. they have a permit to march from here over to a park near city hall. they plan to gather there and then come right back here to wall street to this public park. and they chose this spot for a reason. they could have gone down to times square and might have attracted mor
