Todays gathering is one of remembrance and reflection, it is also one of celebration. We are gathered on the front lawn of a very historic institution. In fact, this is the oldest Cultural Organization in the commonwealth of virginia, founded in 1831. For nearly 200 years, we have been collecting materials for the purpose of telling the story of this place. Some 14 million historical artifacts are housed within the walls behind me. We have much to be proud of. But we still have so very much we must do to be the state History Museum we all deserve. The one that represents all and welcomes all. applause d

Hundreds of people. So now, the Health Department is getting the word out. A walk through any cosco store presents a sea of people, products, places where a stubborn virus can survive. Measles is contagious in the air and on surfaces. We werent there, we were here. Reporter shoppers were thinking back to whether they were here on sunday. Thats when Officials Say exposure was possible and it wants shoppers to be alert for symptoms until february 8th, two more weeks. There may be measles circulating in our community undetected thats whats concerning to us. I dont know maybe because i dont know too much about it. I think about it like chickenpox, i dont know. I dont know. I just know it was in disneyland. Reporter disneyland theme parks in anaheim is where most of californias 68 measles cases stem from. But bay area doctors say that its becoming a concern here because many parents do not vaccinate their children. I think a worry for a lot of people for people who dont vaccinate. Reporter
