Petaling Jaya: A Gamuda Bhd joint-venture company has won a RM1.45bil contract to design and construction of the Defu station and Tunnels in Singapore with Wai Fong Construction Pte Ltd.
The contract, smaller than Gamuda’s typical order books, is a start for its overseas tunnelling works notwithstanding the tighter margins, the analysts said, while maintaining existing calls as the win makes up existing contract replenishment targets.
