It’s an effort by Netflix to engage kids more immediately, by using a visual language they grasp more easily than traditional poster images. In an update rolling out globally starting Tuesday, Netflix Kids profiles on TVs will now include a “favorites” row on the homepage with five characters perched above the related series or film.

How Michelle Obama s Health Campaign Is Getting Aid From Walmart, Blue Apron 03/16/21 AT 4:03 PM Michelle Obama’s new Netflix series, “Waffles + Mochi,” which launched Tuesday, is the inspiration behind her new health campaign that works with Walmart and Blue Apron to deliver one million meals to families in need in the U.S. The initiative “Pass the Love w/ Waffles + Mochi,” which is expected to start rolling out in May, works hand-in-hand with the Partnership for a Healthier America nonprofit, the former First Lady, as well as her Michelle and Barack Obama’s production company, Higher Grounds Productions. The nonprofit has also stated that it’s aiming to “leverage the show, its characters, and Mrs. Obama to meaningfully shift our food culture toward more affordable, fun, at-home meals for families of every income level.
