It marks the third consecutive day of multiple fatalities added to Fauquierâs total during the pandemic. The state health department reported 2 more deaths here Sunday and 4 more Saturday.
Details about those deaths were unavailable Monday morning. But, it often takes weeks or months to determine and report the cause of death in a case.
They âappear to be deaths from the fall that are a result of the state s changing definitions of COVID-19 related deaths,â Dr. Wade Kartchner, the Rappahannock Rapidan Health District medical director, wrote in an email Saturday afternoon. âOur epidemiologist will get me details on Monday.â
