Six fires were started in the Yallingup and Busselton areas, which reached the emergency level warning on Saturday evening. The cause of the fire is suspicious/deliberately lit, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said in its alert. Arson Squad detectives are travelling to Yallingup to investigate the cause of a fires. Investigators are appealing for anyone with information regarding the fire to call Crime Stoppers, police said in a statement on Sunday. In a stern warning, Premier Mark McGowan said: To anyone thinking of deliberately lighting a fire, you ll get caught and the penalties are severe, including serious jail time.

Another five homes have been confirmed lost in the bushfire emergency north-east of Perth, bringing the total to 86, after firefighters entered their fifth day battling the out-of-control blaze.
