GUWAHATI: The prominent commercial areas of the city Fancy Bazar, Lakhtokia, Ganeshguri, Paltan Bazaar, and Beltola wore a deserted look on Friday due to the Vyapar bandh called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) against the new Amendment to the GST Act, and surging prices of petrol and diesel. The bandh was supported by the Kamrup Chamber of Commerce, Asom Jatiya Parishad, and the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee.
