Im stephanie si, it has now been five days since typhoon haiyan devastated the philippines and in the aftermath there is a humanitarian crisis and people are without shelter and there are reports of mass braves and bodies lining the streets. Some desperate survivors resorted to looting and they have a state of National Calamity. We declare today a state of National Calamity to hasten the movements of the government on rescue relief and rehabilitation efforts on the provinces effected. Reporter aid is coming too late for those without food, water and medicine for days. The government now estimates the death toll at nearly 1800, support for storm victims is trickling in from the u. S.
