LUDHIANA: In a miracle of sorts, a toddler fell from the emergency window of a moving train and was later found alive near Samrala railway station on Thursday.
Railway officials said that Vishali Sharma along with her three children was going to Mumbai from Phagwara in Paschim express. They added that during the journey, Vishali went to washroom leaving her one and half years old daughter Mahira with her other two small children.
The officials further said that after she returned from washroom, her five-year-old daughter told her that Mahira had fallen out of the window. They added that as soon as Vishali came to know about it, she raised an alarm and with the help of other passengers, the train was stopped after several kilometers ahead.
