One Injured in Virginia House Fire

Fox21Online May 28, 2021 VIRGINIA, Minn. – One person was hospitalized after a house fire in Virginia Thursday evening. According to reports from the Northland FireWire, the fire was reported around 7:30 p.m. on the 300 block of First Street North. The fire was contained in the kitchen and living room of the house. The sole woman occupant was taken to the hospital by ambulance for possible smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office.

Large investigation underway in hopes of finding those responsible for arson that killed Air Guard firefighter

The lead investigator into the arson fire that killed a member of the West Virginia Air National Guard says the investigation is progressing in hopes of finding those responsible for setting the blaze. Senior Airman Logan Young (WVANG) State Deputy Fire Marshal Jason Baltic said Tuesday the investigative team, which includes state police, sheriff’s deputies and the federal ATF, has already conducted some interviews with more scheduled.
