The BJP registered a stunning victory in the Rajya Sabha poll, winning eight out of the 10 seats amid cross-voting by seven Samajwadi Party MLAs, in favour of the saffron outfit. Two of the three candidates SP had fielded emerged victorious.
Capitalizing on the support from party switchers, the BJP outperformed the Samajwadi Party, securing eight of the 10 seats in the recent Rajya Sabha elections in Lucknow on Tuesday.
