Gorakhpur: The Aditya Birla group is likely to make a huge investment in a project at Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) Gorakhpur. The group has already given a proposal to GIDA and visited the proposed site of around 70 acres of land at Bhiti Rawat.
According to sources, the group is planning to establish an industrial unit of a paint manufacturing company at Bhiti Rawat in Gorakhpur.
“The group has given the proposal and they have also visited the land proposed by us. We are currently in the negotiation stage. If the proposal gets finalized, several employment opportunities will be created in Gorakhpur,” CEO GIDA, Pawan Agarwal said.
Gorakhpur: The first proposed government institute of hotel management of Uttar Pradesh will come up in Gorakhpur. The district administration has already located 5 acres of land for the institute at Agyan village in Pipraich area of the district. The institute will create several employment opportunities in Purvanchal.
District Magistrate, Vijyendra Pandiyan gave the approval for the land and the institute will be constructed and operated by the tourism department.
The land for the proposed institute of hotel management has been located and it is given to the institute, DM , Vijyendra Pandiyan said.

The state government has the responsibility of providing land and the budget will be allocated by the central government. Oxygen Express at Nakha Railway station in Gorakhpur
Gorakhpur: 40 metric ton liquid oxygen reached Gorakhpur in two tankers of Oxygen Express on Saturday, CPRO, NER, Pankaj Kumar Singh said.
“In the time of pandemic, the Oxygen Express reached Gorakhpur with liquid oxygen and it is certainly good news for the area. The two tankers of Oxygen Express with 40 metric ton liquid oxygen departed from Durgapur on May 14 and reached Gorakhpur on May 15 at 12.10 at Gorakhpur’s Nakha Railway station and in the presence of Gorakhpur’s senior administrative officials the liquid oxygen decanting was done,” he said. The liquid oxygen was safely carried for the people of Gorakhpur and nearby areas and the oxygen express containers reached Gorakhpur without any delay and covered 840 km in only 12 hours.
