Jind (Haryana), February 15 (ANI): In remarks that are likely to stoke controversy, Haryana Congress leader Vidya Rani on Monday urged party workers to strengthen the farmers' agitation and said they can contribute "be it money, vegetables, liquor".
In a shocking remark, Haryana Congress leader Vidya Rani has called for distribution of alcohol among other things to support farmers agitation. A video of the Congress leader has gone viral on social media.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait has distanced himself from Haryana Congress leader Vidya Rani who was caught on camera giving a call for the protests to continue no matter what. The protests must go on, she said, assuring protesters they will be supported with supplies including money, vegetables or liquor.
Reacting to Rani s remarks, Tikait said: What is the use of liquor here? I don t know why she s making such comments. Such people don t have anything to do with the movement. It s wrong and shouldn t be done. They can distribute whatever they want to at their movement.
