Kangana Ranaut is one of the leading actresses in Bollywood. She made heads turn with her debut film Gangster, which was helmed by Anurag Basu. Vidya Balan s Sherni had been announced quite a long back, but it had run into many roadblocks. Firstly, the shoot was affected after the COVID-19 pandemic broke out and then actor Vijay Raaz got embroiled in a molestation case and makers had been thinking of replacing him. However, he remained a part of the film and now we are getting to hear that the film is all set to release in the Summer of this year.

The news has been confirmed by none other than producer Vikram Malhotra. Talking to Mid Day, he said, “While shooting has been completed, post-production work is on in full swing. We are yet to decide on which platform the film will release, but we are targeting a summer release; perhaps in June or July. So far, we plan to release it in theatres, but we will have to see how things pan out. We want the whole world to see it.”

Adequate physical distancing of at least six feet has to be followed outside the auditoriums, common areas and waiting areas at all times, and use of face covers/masks at all times will be mandatory.

NEW DELHI: Cinema halls will operate at 100 per cent capacity from Monday, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar said on Sunday, while releasing the standard operating procedure (SOP) on preventive measures for Covid-19.
The restrictions put in place due to the pandemic are on the verge of ending, he said.
