A man featured on the Crime Stoppers’ most wanted list was arrested Tuesday in connection with several charges including assault.
An investigation by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Warrants & Fugitive Apprehension Unit led deputies to Victor Lee Batres inside a home in the 1600 block of Phil Gibbs near Vista Del Sol and George Dieter drives in East El Paso, sheriff’s officials said.
Batres, 43, refused to come out of the house and denied being the man wanted by deputies, officials said. A household member confirmed Batres identity to deputies.
Deputies then entered the home and arrested Batres.
