Construction will start next week on a 700-home community in the city of Lavon in Collin County.
LakePointe Development Co. and Lenart Development Co. are building the LakePointe community on State Highway 78.
The 200-acre project includes commercial building sites along with the hundreds of homes that are planned there.
Bluehaven Homes, an Amarillo-based builder, is expanding to the Dallas area for the first time to build homes in the project.
