VOV.VN - The 15th National Assembly (NA) is set to open its first session in Hanoi on July 20 morning, with the election and approval of leadership positions in State agencies, discussions on socio-economic reports and the making of decisions on other important issues.
A preparatory meeting was held one day earlier on July 19, during which NA deputies voting to approve the session’s agenda.
During the session, lawmakers will hear a report reviewing outcomes of the elections of deputies to the 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils for 2021-2026, as well as another report on outcomes of the verification of the eligibility of NA deputies.

The event will take place at a time when the country is realising the Resolution adopted by the 13th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 15th legislature and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2025 tenure wrapped up successfully.
It holds special significance as it will lay a foundation for activities of the 15th legislature, including the election and approval of leadership positions in State agencies, discussions on socio-economic reports and the making of decisions on other important issues.

Home-quarantine to be piloted nationwide
Vietnam will pilot a nationwide home-quarantine programme for F1 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients.
The move was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam following the Ministry of Health’s proposal.
At an online meeting on HCM City’s Covid-19 situation held on Monday, Dam said that he had received many opinions suggesting the home-quarantine.
At present, the pilot home quarantine is being applied in HCM City. People who come into close contact with Covid-19 patients can quarantine themselves at home for 28 days, but strictly following regulations.

Notice for automatic stay extension for foreigners stranded due to COVID-19
The Viet Nam Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security has issued a notice for automatic stay extension for foreigners stranded in Viet Nam due to COVID-19.
1. Foreigners who entered Viet Nam on visa waivers, e-visas or tourist visas from March 1st, 2020 are entitled to automatic stay extension until July 31, 2021 and can depart from Viet Nam without having to apply for stay extension.
