15th National Assembly convenes first session in Hanoi

Tuesday, 07:59, 20/07/2021 VOV.VN - The 15th National Assembly (NA) is set to open its first session in Hanoi on July 20 morning, with the election and approval of leadership positions in State agencies, discussions on socio-economic reports and the making of decisions on other important issues. A preparatory meeting was held one day earlier on July 19, during which NA deputies voting to approve the session’s agenda.  During the session, lawmakers will hear a report reviewing outcomes of the elections of deputies to the 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils for 2021-2026, as well as another report on outcomes of the verification of the eligibility of NA deputies.

The move was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam following the Ministry of Health’s proposal. At an online meeting on HCM City’s Covid-19 situation held on Monday, Dam said that he had received many opinions suggesting the home-quarantine. At present, the pilot home quarantine is being applied in HCM City. People who come into close contact with Covid-19 patients can quarantine themselves at home for 28 days, but strictly following regulations.
