It was not a normal dropoff in sonoma today, there was more than cold and more than a little shock and concern. Its scary, small town snow marks and you dont expect things like this. The Sonoma County sheriff has jesse leon granadolopez in custody, attempt to commit rape on a 14yearold student. He grabbed her all the street, assaulted her, released her, and went for a second girl. This is a very traumatic incident and i think that the best thing we can do is put together a really good case. The first attack happened on this corner, a walking route to school that parents and teachers and neighbors consider to be safe. Carina heinz who lives there heard nothin. I think they need to at least have some kind of monitor or guidance around this area. Homelessness is something we have been focused on on abc 7. And Governor Newsom signed an executive order that looks to build more shelters on state owned land. David louie is live at one proposed site in san jose. David. Kristen and dan, about 100 sites have been identified at the governors request, including this State Office Building in downtown san jose. Its located not far from where a lot of homeless already are out on the street. The governors plan has received some positive reaction, although there are some who wonder what the true impact could be. The latest census says more than 10,000 people are homeless in san jose, and share county. These are the homeless the governor hopes to house in temporary facilities using surplus state land.
