The Tamaqua Area School Board on Tuesday approved a preliminary budget that calls for a 3.17 mill tax increase with no discussion.
The proposed spending plan for 2024-25 shows a beginning fund balance.
Nine proposed projects, which had been among a list of suggestions proposed by the district’s staff, were approved by the board. Among them were the purchase of 30 iPads for $8,820. The units will be used in kindergarten classes, TAG and for yearbook activities.

Newsweek reported that the Twitter accoiunt of a member of the Advanced Persistent Threat 69420 Twitter has been suspended. The group member named Tillie Kottman was removed from the social media platform after the group disclosed how it had access to live feeds from more than 150,000 of Verkada s security cameras.
