Imphal (Manipur) [India], January 28 (ANI): A young artist from Manipur is among 32 recipients of the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar this year.
Venish Keisham, a Class 11 Humanities student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Langjing in Imphal received recognition for her extraordinary work in the field of Arts. I am extremely grateful and happy that I got an opportunity to speak to the Prime Minister. I was initially very nervous ahead of the interaction but he encouraged us and it was very motivating, Keisham said. I received a call from the Prime Minister s Office around 12:30 am on January 22. I was asleep and my father, who received the phone call, woke me and I was so ecstatic, she added.

accomplishments in various fields, including arts, culture, archery and swimming. Jyoti Kumari, 16, cycled to her native place Darbhanga district in Bihar from Gurgaon in Haryana covering around 1,200 km with her father on the rear carrier amid the nationwide lockdown in May last year.
She has been awarded for her
bravery. Her resilience had drawn praise from former US President Donald Trump s daughter and then senior White House adviser Ivanka Trump, who had termed it a beautiful feat of endurance and love .

The Government of India has been awarding the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to children with exceptional abilities and outstanding accomplishments, in the fields of innovation, scholastics, sports, arts and culture, social service and bravery.
The children who have been conferred the award in various categories are Tanuj Samaddar from Assam (Art & culture), Venish Keisham from Manipur (Art and culture), Arshiya Das from Tripura (Sports) and Ayush Ranjan from Sikkim (Innovation)
