NOIDA: The Noida Authority will start work on four parks in the city soon.
The projects have been delayed because of the lockdown and are now likely to pick up pace, officials said.
Ved Van in Sector 78 will be built at a cost of Rs 28 crore. The park will come up on 12 acre. A dog park is being planned near Sector 137 and the project will cost Rs 3.5 crore. A children’s park will be developed near Shilp Haat, Sector 33, and it will cost Rs 8 crore. A waste-to-wonder park from recycled plastic and wood is being planned at Kalindi Kunj.
Officials said the details are being worked out and a proposal will be submitted to the authority soon.

NOIDA: Noida MLA Pankaj Singh on Sunday visited 7x sectors (74-79) and sectors 116-117 with the authority officials to review civic issues related work in horticulture, drains, roads and sewerage.
While deadlines were fixed for sewer and road-related work, inspection of Ved Van and butterfly theme park in sectors 76 and 117 were also undertaken with instructions to complete the work in the next 3-4 months.
“While work on Ved Van is expected to begin from the end of January, green belt near Civitech Society in Sector 77 was inspected along with an upcoming park for the sector for which the MLA directed rain water harvesting system to be developed,” said an official from Noida Authority.

GREATER NOIDA: The city’s first park with an open gymnasium will be ready by early next year, officials of the local authority have said. The facility will come up inside Mihir Bhoj park, popularly known as City Park.
Earlier this month, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) had started work on developing the open gymnasium and a budget of Rs 63.55 lakh had been set aside for it. The open gym has been set up on a slightly elevated platform and will have equipment like parallel bars, abdominal board, arm wheel, twister, bench, horse rider and equipment for shoulder and chest press.
