Based in Bend, Ore., Vector Remote Care will use the funds to double its headcount with a focus on product and engineering. The startup’s services have seen increased demand during the COVID-19 pandemic amid a larger adoption of telemedicine. The company’s solution includes a remote data management tool, software for device reporting, medical billing, and more. Kevin Hoffman founded Vector Remote Care in 2017 and is CEO. The startup’s focus drew on his family’s personal experience with cardiac arrest and his mother’s defibrillator malfunctioning.

Located on the West Coast, Vector was founded by Kevin Hoffman in 2017 and focused on remote heart monitoring. WHAT IT DOES   The company has created HIPAA-compliant software that is able to help capture data and help manage and analyze patients remotely. One of the company s tools, called CIED Monitoring, is focused on helping clinicians incorporate and make sense of cardiac implantable devices with its intelligence platform and on-demand device technicians. The other tool, called CardiacRPM, is able to capture data from hypertension and heart failure patients smart devices such as connected scales and blood pressure monitors.

Vector Raises $12 5M in Series A Funding

The round was led by Updata Partners. The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product, engineering, and patient engagement. Led by Kevin Hoffman, founder and CEO, Vector provides solutions for care teams to capture, manage, analyze and act on remote data generated from cardiac devices. The company combines patient-centered intelligent technology with expert human insight to improve cardiac patient outcomes.
