The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has planted around 1 lakh tulips in its parks across the Capital, an addition to more than 4 lakh tulips of different hues planted by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in Lutyens’ Delhi, said official sources.
To celebrate the 75th Indian Independence Day, the Delhi government will illuminate hidden, historical landmarks in the city with tricolour lights. A total of five such monuments will be illuminated on August 15. Restoration work is underway in several other monuments too.
