Protein Day 2021: What does this year s theme Powering with Plant Protein signifies?
The Right To Protein Initiative announced the theme for this yearâs celebration of Protein Day in India (February 27th) as Powering with Plant Protein. This yearâs theme shines the spotlight on plant-based sources of protein and encourages citizens at large to learn and know more about different types of sources available and their importance in daily meals for better nutrition and health. This year marks the second year for this nutritional awareness milestone in India by âRight to Proteinâ, as the initiative invites citizens, organizations and experts to join the movement.

So much for a quiet start to the year.
Any hopes of 2021 giving us respite from the turbulent waters of 2020 went splat, as the first week of the New Year was busy with venture capital deals (Divvy! Gtmhub!), IPO news (Affirm! Poshmark! Roblox!), SPAC news (SoFi! BuzzFeed!), and violence in the American capital. Domino’s India has become the country’s first quick service restaurant (QSR) to serve alternative meat with the launch of a pizza featuring plant-based mince. The Unthinkable Pizza is “100 per cent vegetarian and yet has the sensory properties of chicken,” according to a press release issued on Tuesday by Jubilant FoodWorks, which operates the global pizza chain’s outlets in India.
