The Deer Valley East Village expansion is not expected to debut the first lifts and trails until the 2025-26 ski season, at the earliest.
But there is already talk in Park City about the impact the expansion could have on the community, including on the labor force.
The name East Village to many conjures up the onetime grittiness of the famed New York City neighborhood. Deer Valley Resort, though, wants the moniker to reflect a place far different in character from the Manhattan neighborhood.
