The return of a long-standing Reed City mini-grocery mart is here, but it has been a roller-coaster ride of a process. In August of 2022, the long-standing Northend Grocery store was knocked down in hopes of a new Biggby Coffee shop coming in. This change brought good news and bad news.  The bad news: the plans for the coffee shop fell through. The good news: a new version of Northend would be on the way less than a year later. Under the ownership of Craig Goodman and Al Peterson, the new convenience shop located at 315 N Chestnut Street now offers many different goods for the community. “We're trying to have a little bit of something for everybody,” Al Peterson said. “We've got the meat markets open, the deli is open, and we now have our liquor license.”   (A look at the interior layout of Northend Meat and Produce; photo credit to Brandon Wirth).   The store had a soft opening back on May 7 and Peterson said
