CAMDEN - El Dorado’s softball team opened the season Monday with a 15-5 loss at Camden Fairview. The Lady Wildcats only gave up five hits but committed eight errors and walked eight batters in five innings.
Bella Frisby shot 75 on Tuesday to lead Parkers Chapel’s girls to the 2A 6 District Golf championship at the Lions Club. The Lady Trojans shot 270 to beat Horatio (283) by 13 shots. Frisby won medalist honors by 13 strokes over Horatio’s Cadee Glasgow.
WOODLAWN - Woodlawn scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning Friday and beat Junction City 6-5 to close the book on the Lady Dragons’ season.
JUNCTION CITY - Junction City wrapped a busy week of softball with a pair of non-conference victories on Saturday. The Lady Dragons scored a run in the bottom of the seventh in an 11-10 win over Taylor. Junction City beat Magnet Cove 6-4 as its record improved to 14-7.
