At 8.59 per cent, this is the first time the positivity rate has breached the eight per cent mark in the last six months, although the all-time highest stands at 23.84 per cent in July last year. The positivity rate had steadily come down since October last year. It fell to 2.19 per cent in November and 1.42 per cent in December to an all-time low in January (0.91 per cent) and February (0.94 per cent). The positivity rate was 2.31 per cent in March this year.
