No free vaccine for healthcare workers who refuse to take the jab: Odisha govt Post News Network Bhubaneswar: Healthcare workers who refuse to take the COVID-19 vaccine will not get a second chance for free vaccination if they miss their date, the state government made it clear. Those who say no to the free vaccine during the ongoing immunization drive will not get an opportunity for free vaccine again. If they later come forward, they will have to buy it. Additional Chief Secretary PK Mohapatra said knowingly or unknowingly some of the healthcare workers (HCWs) are not coming to session sites to get the jab.

COVID-19 vaccination: These are the segments that won’t get the jab now Post News Network Bhubaneswar: Even though the COVID-19 vaccination drive will start January 16 all over India, the Centre has issued guidelines as to who will receive the shots and who won’t. As per the guidelines people aged below 18 years, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers will not be given vaccine shots in the first phase of vaccination. Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare Department Director and Vaccine In-charge Bijay Panigrahi said that pregnant women and lactating mothers will not get the vaccine jab. People with ailments and those who have been hospitalised will also not be vaccinated now.
