The Supreme Court has sought the response of the Kerala High Court to a plea by V4 Kochi president, Nipun Cherian who has challenged his conviction for contempt of court for comments made against a judge on Facebook.

The Kerala High Court on Thursday sentenced V4 Kochi President, Nipun Cherian, to four months imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 2,000 in the suo motu contempt case for his statements against a sitting.
