IMD Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, with the possibility of blocked roads and power disruptions.
According to reports, all six people are residents of Kurukshetra, Haryana and they were staying in a tourist camp. The camp was hit by a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in the last couple of days.
IMD weather update: The Met department said heavy to very heavy rain showers can also cause localised flooding, landslides and flash floods in several parts of the country.
Uttarakhand weather update: The cloudburst that occurred past midnight in a border village of Nepal triggered a flash flood in Khotila village on the Indian side as surging waters of the Kali river rushed into homes, filling them with sludge and killing a woman.
