Ranchi: Students who failed to perform well in Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) class X and class XII exams took to the streets of the Jharkhand capital demanding a review by the council.
The students, led by Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, blocked the road near the residence of state education minister Jagarnnath Mahto in Doranda.
A class XII student from Chatra district, Uttam Kumar Gupta, said judging the students by the class XI performance is incorrect. He reasoned, “Is it certain that a student who fared badly in class XI will do the same in class XII? The JAC should correct our results.” Anu Kumari of Ranchi Women’s College claimed that she failed despite scoring good marks in Class XI.
