On October 13, 2021 the Additional Sessions Court, Kollam, had found Suraj guilty of murder in this unique case of murder by throwing a starving cobra on to his sleeping wife to induce death by snakebite.
A unique experiment was conducted where a live cobra was placed in a room similar to the scene of crime and induced to bite a dummy the size of the victim.
