山形市立病院済生館の西村孝一郎副薬局長が講師を務めた。新型コロナのウイルスの特徴などを説明したほか、米ファイザー製と米モデルナ製のワクチンに関して接種間隔や保存条件、充てん量などの違いを解説した。
実技では、参加者が両社製の充てん方法について生理食塩水を薬液に見立てて確認した。長井市の薬局勤務の30代男性は「薬局では注射器に触れる機会はないが、実際にやってみると気泡が入らないようにするため充てんに時間がかかるなど難しさを実感した」と感想を話していた。
