FARGO A 38-year-old man has been arrested as a suspect in brazen thefts from numerous ATMs in Cass, Barnes and LaMoure counties.
Joshua Fergus McCleary, of rural Wheatland, about 30 miles west of Fargo, was arrested Tuesday night, Jan. 12, in Dickinson after a dangerous confrontation with law officers, according to Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner.
McCleary allegedly rammed a squad car as officers were attempting to arrest him, Jahner said.
The investigation remains active, with at least one other person associated with and seen at the scene of the ATM thefts.

Last night around 8:15 PM, 38 year-old Joshua Fergus McCleary of rural Wheatland, ND was arrested in Dickinson. McCleary is a suspect in a crime spree to include the theft of several ATM’s that spanned the counties of Cass, Barnes and LaMoure. At this time there have been no formal charges related to the ATM thefts. This investigation remains active and on-going at this time. As this investigation moves forward, more information will be made available.
