In the last few hours, a bbc team in derna in libya have seen for themselves the terrible impact of the floodwaters that have washed much of the town into the mediterranean sea, and killed thousands. Its now five days since the disaster that hit derna, which is in eastern libya, along the coast from the libyan capital tripoli and the city of neghazi, and the city of benghazi, towards the egyptian border. Today, our colleagues found little evidence of much international assistance. Correspondent anna foster and team saw the extent of the devastation, and heard the fears over a lack of basic supplies and the likelihood of disease spreading. Heres the report shes just sent us.
