Kia EV6 First Edition electric vehicle preorders begin June 3

Kia has announced that it will be offering a limited run of 1500 units of its new EV6 electric vehicle. The first 1500 EV6 electric cars will be called First Edition and will be offered in unique color combos only available through advanced reservation. First Edition orders start on June 3 at 10 AM PST, and customers can put down a $100 fully refundable deposit to reserve one of the vehicles.
Kia currently expects to begin delivering the EV6 First Edition in Q1 of 2022. Among the upgrades, in addition to the unique colors, First Edition buyers get includes an augmented reality head-up display, remote smart parking assist, sunroof, 20-inch wheels, premium 14-speaker audio system, dual-motor all-wheel-drive power, and a battery pack with 77.4 kWh of energy.
But buyers need to act fast.
The reaction following the debut of the Kia EV6, the automaker s first fully dedicated all-electric vehicle, has been solid. Like its corporate cousin, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the EV6 rides on the South Korean automaker s new e-GMP platform but the two look nothing alike. The EV6 is intended for those who prefer a sportier and more aggressive-looking vehicle.
Last week, Kia showed the First Edition that s limited to just 1,500 examples and very soon you ll be able to hop in the queue by placing a preorder. Kia has announced it will begin accepting those preorders on June 3 at 10 am PST, or 1 pm EST.
Mark your calendars, because the pre-orders are opening on the brand new, all-electric Kia EV6 on June 3 at 7:00 AM Eastern, 10:00 AM Pacific – even though the Koreans have yet to announce pricing. The first model offered will appropriately be the First Edition, with customers placing a $100 fully refundable deposit.
Just 1,500 of the cars will be offered in limited edition color combinations. Buyers can choose from Urban Yellow (a First Edition-exclusive color) with black seats, Glacier white with dark green seats (a First Edition exclusive combo), and Steel Gray Matte with black seats.
The door sills will also be illuminated with a “First Edition” designation and a numbered interior badge, to highlight the limited nature of the trim. You will also get a 14-speaker Meridian audio system, a sunroof, and an augmented reality heads-up display that projects things like navigation instructions onto the windshield to make them look like they’re on the road.
