BAINBRIDGE ISLAND – New storage facilities have been banned on Bainbridge Island. City Council members voted unanimously in favor of a prohibition on the facilities Tuesday night, and have pointed to environmental concerns, the limited space zoned for industrial uses on the island and the number of existing facilities in the city as they worked toward approving the measure.
