Print article Nine of the 11 propositions in Anchorage’s recent municipal election were approved by voters. A runoff election in May will determine the mayor. Here are the results of the propositions:
⋅ FAILED: Proposition 1 was a $6.9 million bond proposal that would have funded
various capital projects, including safety and code upgrades for municipal buildings and public restrooms. This proposition failed with roughly 53% of voters opposing it.
⋅ PASSED: Proposition 2 was a $1.15 million bond proposal that would fund
facility upgrades for the Loussac Library and several senior centers. This proposition passed with 54% of the votes.
