Yogi provided total assistance of Rs 5.30 crore to the families of 53 journalists, who died during the pandemic. In July last year, the families of 50 journalists were provided Rs 10 lakh each.
The three sons of the Covid victim were hesitant to touch the body, so they brought in an excavator to carry it from their home to the burial site. There, they dumped their father, along with some other waste material.

Meanwhile, 3,999 new cases in the past 24 hours took state’s total to 6,34,033 on Monday. Of the total cases, 6,02,319 have recovered while 8,894, including 13 in the past 24, hours have died.
