UP Board exam 2021: More than 56 lakh students register

PRAYAGRAJ: In spite of the impact of Covid-19 on schools and studies, 56,03,813 students have registered this year to appear in the high school and intermediate examinations of UP Board. This year is also the board’s centenary year.
The total number of students appearing in the board exams from April 24 exceeds the population of around 118 countries, including New Zealand, Kuwait, Norway, Finland and Ireland, each having less than 56 lakh citizens.
The UP Board, set up in 1921 at Allahabad by an act of the United Provinces Legislative Council, had conducted its first examination in 1923. In its 100 years of journey, the number of students appearing in its high school and intermediate exams has increased 976 times, earning it the distinction of being one of the largest examination conducting bodies of the world.

Ahead of UP board exams, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a Pariksha Pe Charcha session with school students, teachers, and parents. This year, the PM will join this discussion virtually. Students across the world can participate in this interactive session.
About 2,000 school students will be selected through an online creative writing competition designed specifically for them on the MyGov platform. Along with the students, the competition will also include parents and teachers. The registration process for the online competition has already started in Varanasi.
UP Board exam date 2021: Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released UP Board exam 2021 date sheet. UP Board Class 10, 12 exams are slated to begin from April 24 and would end on May 12 for Class 12 and May 10 for Class 10. The date sheet is now available on upmsp.edu.in. The UP Board exam dates were announced by Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma today. This year around 3 million students will appear for UP Board Exam 2021 for Class 10 and 2.6 million students for Class 12.
UP Board Exam 2021 details The UP Board Exam 2021 for both class 10 and class 12 would be conducted in shifts. The first shift would be from 8 am to 11.15 am and the second shift would be from 2 pm to 5.15 pm.

In a retaliatory move, Moradabad Association of Private Schools have put up posters of ‘no fees-no exams’ outside the schools in the city. With most of the schools now open, the administration has demanded that the parents clear the dues. Taking a hard stand, the schools have now denied permission to the students from sitting for the exams.
