A new Parkway Express gas station and convenience store is planned for the lot next door to Evergreen Cemetery off Route 11 on the edge of the village. The site, next door to University Suites Hotel, was formerly the location of a local eatery (see top photo) but that has been closed for some time. The Canton Village Planning Board has offered tentative approval of the site plan for the new store (see bottom photo) and a building permit is expected to be issued sometime this week.
